About Total Rehab and Fitness

About Physical Therapy Total Rehab and Fitness was founded by John Marmarou, DPT, in 2009, to provide medically-based exercise programs and rehabilitation services to improve the quality of life for patients with chronic disease. Dr. Marmarou's innovative concept of offering a complete spectrum of rehabilitative services at one location ensures that personalized care is provided to each patient and delivered in a caring environment.

The goal of Total Rehab and Fitness is to reduce patient hospitalizations; to help patients with disabilities and impairments through a multidisciplinary team approach to care; and to increase longevity, improve function, and lower health care costs for patients with chronic illness. The staff is well equipped to address a wide variety of conditions from chronic heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to degenerative joint disease and chronic pain.

The highly qualified and committed professional staff at Total Rehab and Fitness is dedicated to helping each patient attain the highest quality of life by implementing individualized treatment programs that are interactive and constantly evolving. Our plan of care has met with unparalleled success in the community and is gaining recognition from area healthcare providers as well as local media and government officials.

The philosophy of our practice is summed up in the following quote by Robert N. Butler, Director of the National Institute on Aging:

"If exercise could be packed into a pill, it would be the single most widely prescribed and beneficial medicine in the nation."
